About Us
| Before I tell you a little more about myself and Dogfight Apparel, first let me start by thanking you for taking the time to visit this site. We are all absolutely crazy about WW1 & Golden Age aviation (and I'm sure aviation in general). This love for vintage aircraft has led me to meet the most amazing people and I am truly thankful for that. My name is Tom Moyer and I have been absolutely obsessed with airplanes my entire life. I went to every airshow and collected every die cast model I could get my hands on. My first stitches were from trying to cut the cowl off a 1:72 scale F4U Corsair that I had glued on upside-down. When I was 13, a friend of the family gave me an RC airplane. It was a .46 size Kyosho Cap 232. I got a job at 14 working in Baltimore City under the table to save up for the radio equipment. I spent an entire summer learning how to fly on an old simulator. The passion that I already had for aviation grew much deeper when I started flying RC planes. |

I convinced my dad to get his own RC plane. Up until that point, he would just watch me fly. I taught him how to fly and over the past 18 years we have spent so much time together bonding and flying together. My interests started with aerobatics, but over time I sold off all of my aerobatic planes to pick up scale models. WW1 & Golden Age airplanes have been my passion ever since. |
| In May of last year I was diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer called Liposarcoma. I spent months going through radiation therapy and tending to a surgery that removed much of my left thigh. I owe absolutely everything to my Wife and daughter for helping me through the worst time in my life. With a wound vac on and limited mobility, I spent my down time fixing my dads Balsa USA Fokker DVIII. Against doctors orders, I drove for the first time to the Golden Age Aviation Museum in Bethel, PA for the annual RC event. |  |

I have learned that life, even a full life, is extremely short. It is too short not to do the things you love and to spend time with the people that you love. This is the foundation of Dogfight Apparel. I wanted to offer modern looking apparel and accessories for you, the people who share in my passion for vintage aircraft.
